Sine Qua Non, on its role of empowering Civil Society to access systems of international organisations, has expanded its toolkit to make them aware of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR). The main goal pursued with this extension is to explain this mechanism to civil society, its stages and available opportunities to engage with, and to give them the information needed to present shadow reports.
The information is given in two main ways. On the one hand, SQN has published two guides on its website. One of them is focused on explaining the procedure of the UPR, giving an overview of the whole process. The other one consists of a set of guidelines to submit written contributions.
On the other hand, SQN has in its portfolio the organisation of training sessions aimed to give the main guidelines and to solve the arising problems related to the preparation of shadow reports for the 4th cycle of the UPR.
